If I buy more than one, can I choose different colors or phone models?

YES! What’s better than a bundle of K11’s? Choosing any color/model you want!

Can my current screen protector work with you bumper?

YES! We spend countless hours making sure the design of the bumper would not interfere with any screens or back protectors. We have tested Glass, Polyurethane (TPU) and plastic (PU) protectors with no problems. No need to worry!!

Can I use Edge to Edge glass?

One of our reviewers said the Cinder would work but we reached out to them and they are sending one to us next week :)

We just got Tech Armor Edge-to-Edge and it is a tight fit so make sure you put the glass on perfect.

We have also tested 2 other companies that were generic and they both worked. We will have ZAGG’s Edge to Edge next week to test. If the Cinder and ZAGG both work, we are done Buying :)

Can I put a skin or film on the phone while using the K11?

We have successfully tested many films and skins and they have been perfect (DBrand, ZAGG, Ghost Armor, skinit, slick wraps, etc..) for the front and back. But they will NOT work if you use a full body or full coverage that goes on the sides. The sides separate the buttons from the phone.

Don’t get us wrong, it will look awesome and it will fit. You just can’t use your buttons :)

What is your drop height you tested?

With much pride we stand by 6 feet (2 meters) on flat concrete with no damage to the phone or bumper besides scratches. We will have more of the drop videos up soon.

*We all know that even the big box cases can break the phone too. So still be careful!

Last updated: September 08, 2015 17:32

Will the aluminum dent or get scratched?

We did about a dozen drop tests on concrete with the iPhone 6 Plus (heavier) and we did not have any large dents to the K11. We did see a few scratches on it after we dropped it at 6 feet (2 meters) and will stand by that height with pride!

Will the Znaps magnetic adaptor?

We believe so from the specs but have emailed them for verification. We will update all the backers once we know 100%. We loved it so we bought two of them.

How strong is the TPU?

Lets just say this is the best TPU we have ever used or seen. We are proud.

Apple iPhone 4/4s bumper TPU? ha ha good one. We wont mention others out there because we’re not that mean.

Will the K11 block/interfere with my signal or wifi?

NO! There is a beautiful layer of TPU in between the aluminum bumper and the phone. Yeah… we kinda planned that :)

Still for you Rick! :) We have been field testing the K11 Bumper for several months in real world applications. Laboratory testing is a perfect world scenario where there is zero outside interference from weather, users and buildings. We wanted real world scenarios because we use the product and we don’t live in a bubble. Signal strength varies from tower to tower depending on the load of users per cellular tower and we all know how “reliable” cellular and Wi-Fi is.

We have concluded that during our field test mode on the phone and also an RF meter we have readings that vary form -1/+1db. Other times when we tested we would see -3db with the K11 off (which is a lot). We then tested in that same spot with nothing on the phone and the same thing happened. After all that testing with a constant field mode on the phone we can say that as an average user, you will not notice a single change in reception that is not congruent with the reception issues (dropped calls, Wi-Fi inconsistencies) you currently experience. Let’s just say enjoy your K11!

Lastly, we have had several reviewers and product testers use the K11 and have not noticed an issue at all. These are large press releases that test tons of products (many metal) that give us the reassuring confidence in the long process of perfecting the build. This is on top of the dozen prototypes we have out that are on all carriers and have not noticed a decline. Let’s just say we are proud!

Does the white TPU get dirty?

Do your white shoes get dirty? Your favorite white shirt? :)

We worked really hard to not make that happen (we hate it). We have been testing them for about 6 weeks now and 1 of the 5 white TPU K11’s has some discolor. We were able to use an alcohol wipe to clean most of it off. We are working on including one in the packaging just in case.

Enjoy!

Does the white TPU get discolored or stained over time?

Ah the dreaded blue jeans… We have a composite formula that is based in the TPU that helps with the discoloring (look close at the white when you get it) and staining. We are at 8 weeks of testing this newest formula and have yet to see it discolor. :) Colors have worn on it but we were able to clean it off.

Does the K11 come with a warranty?

Yes! After many tests and versions we are now going to offer a (1) year manufactures warranty from defects and workmanship. This does exclude normal wear and tear. We will have a warranty policy placed on the new site after the campaign.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
